About Acton Community Chorus

The Acton Community Chorus (ACC) is a local, nonprofit 501(c)3 community organization.

Founded in 1984, the chorus provides singers from MetroWest communities an opportunity to enjoy singing choral music in a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere. 

Mission:
To foster, encourage and engage in community singing activities, including the production of musical programs and concerts for the public benefit and to enrich the cultural, educational and civic life of the Town of Acton

Music Director

Lisa Cooper is a music teacher and director, and prides herself on teaching music to people of every age – from two years old and up! She received her degrees in Music Education and Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from Plymouth State University. She is the Music Director at the Christ the King Lutheran Church in Nashua, New Hampshire, and teaches private voice and piano lessons and preschool music. She also performs regularly as a soprano soloist around New England. 

Her passion for community choruses is based in a philosophy that all people deserve to sing.

Accompanist

Ed Rosser is the Minister of Music at South Acton Congregational Church; Ballet Accompanist at Dean College in Franklin and at Jose Mateo Ballet Theater in Cambridge; and accompanist for several area schools. He also teaches piano at various music schools, and he is a highly respected recording artist who has released several well-reviewed CDs.. 

Ed holds a BA in Music from Albion College, Michigan, and a Masters Degree in Piano Performance from Boston University.
