Welcome to the
Acton Community Chorus!
The Acton Community Chorus (ACC) is a local, non-profit community organization. It was founded in 1984 to provide singers from Acton and surrounding towns an opportunity to come together in a choral ensemble and to share the joy of music with the community.
We have enjoyed continued growth over the last 29 seasons under the direction and guidance of our musical director, Paul Johnson, and our accompanist, Susan Bishov.
We encourage area singers to join the chorus during our two open rehearsals held at the beginning of both the fall and spring seasons.
You're always warmly welcomed into our group. The chorus rehearses Monday evenings at Faith Evangelical Free Church (54 Hosmer Street, Acton) to prepare for our two major performances. (While the church graciously hosts our rehearsals, the chorus is non-church affiliated.) We host two open rehearsals at the beginning of the fall and spring seasons.
Our Winter Lights concert in January typically features classical choral selections. Recent concerts have included works by Mozart, Vivaldi, Brahms, Bach, Britten, and Vierne.
Our spring pops concert in June features more contemporary music chosen around a central theme, such as Sounds of the Sixties, A Night at the Movies, and Cruisin' to the Tropics.

Bright Lights of Broadway

What a great program we have in store for you! We'll be singing everyone's favorite songs from shows currently on Broadway, including Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, Evita, Hairspray and more.
This year we return to the Friends of the Performing Arts Center (FOPAC) at 51 Walden Street, Concord with its pops-style theater ambiance. ACC fans who have attended our spring concerts at FOPAC know that both nights sell out quickly.
Members will be able to get tickets for you starting at our May 6th rehearsal. Tickets for the Pops tables are $20/person; General Admission is $15/person. Contact us or your favorite chorus member as soon as possible to be sure you get the tickets you want!
